Paris

Since 4th April 2022, Excelia has a new off-site study location in Paris, right in the heart of the Paris higher education hub, namely on the aivancity campus.

Two years after the launch of a first programme in Paris (BBA International), this latest project marks the beginning of a new phase in the development of our higher education group in the French capital. Choosing this site is also in line with Excelia’s commitment to pursuing its strategy of skills hybridisation. As the only management school in Paris, Excelia aims to forge closer links with the academic players that are already on site, in particular the engineering schools. In line with its development strategy, Excelia is committed to becoming an important player within this higher education hub.

  • The Paris site: a perfect environment for skills hybridisation

From the start of the 2022 academic year, Excelia will welcome students to its Parisian site on the aivancity campus, the former home of École Normale Supérieure Cachan. This new location will enable Excelia Business School to continue developing student numbers on its BBA International programme, launched in the capital back in 2020. Excelia also intends to offer various other programmes, such as its 5-year Master in Management and bespoke Executive Education courses.

By 2025, some 600 students will be studying at Excelia’s Paris site. They will be able to enjoy a dynamic learning environment that is already home to several other schools such as ESTP Paris, EPF Engineering School, and aivancity, a leading school specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.

This major higher education hub of some 40,000 m2 offers students a stimulating and qualitative environment that includes all the necessary services (CROUS, university residence, etc.) and sports facilities, as well as numerous green areas and shops.

Skills hybridisation is an important part of Excelia’s overall strategy. The aim is to blend its study programmes and courses with different specialisations in order to meet the new skill sets that companies are looking for. The fact that several excellent engineering schools are already located within this higher education hub represents considerable potential for developing this educational approach. As the only management school at Cachan, Excelia will be able to broaden its scope for collaboration, thereby further consolidating this centre for higher education. As an example, the BBA International, offered by Excelia in Paris, benefits considerably from this hybridisation strategy. Through a pedagogical collaboration with ISIT, its students receive intensive ‘linguistic and intercultural’ teaching and have the opportunity to take the TOIS (Test Of Intercultural Skills). Furthermore, students in the final year of the BBA can major in ‘NGOs, Lobbying, International Relations’, in conjunction with ISIT.

The geographical proximity of Excelia’s Paris site to ISIT (just 15 minutes away) will enable Excelia to continue to offer this major, as well as various other courses offered by ISIT.
