English Track: 100% English (a certain level of English is required for this track)
2nd Modern Language: German, Spanish or Italian
3rd Language (compulsory for students joining in Year 1): Choice of Portuguese, Chinese or Sign Language
TOEFL and TOEIC training
Assessment:
Three types of evaluation:
- Continuous assessment: 40% of the final mark
Throughout the year, you will work on group or individual projects, which will be marked by your teachers.
- End-of-semester exams: 60% of the final mark
These take the form of written exams.
- Grand Oral
The oral exam is a presentation of your studies and your future studies or professional project.

The teaching Faculty of the Bachelor in Tourism and Hospitality Management is made up of French and international research-active Faculty members as well as industry professionals.
The research-active Faculty, who specialise in tourism management, draw on the research work carried out within the framework of our Tourism Management Institute and our case study centre, known as INNOV Case Lab, thus offering students innovative pedagogy. The industry professionals who teach on the programme are recognised for their strong expertise within their field and focus on real business issues.

Business Game
Carried out as a company game, students work in teams to tackle and solve real-life professional issues.
Disney College Program
The school has a partnership with Disney World Resort in Orlando, giving students the opportunity to study at Delaware University in the USA during 6 months, followed by a paid internship in one of the parks of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
Eductour
Students take part in Eductour, a discovery tour of local players in the tourism industry and other partners of Excelia Tourism School. The aim of this initiative is to introduce our students to companies, professions, and professionals in the tourism industry.
Academic Expatriation
Heading abroad on academic expatriation is a compulsory part of Year 2 of the programme. Students who choose the International Track in Year 3 will have the opportunity of repeating the experience.
FIFAV - International Adventure Film & Book Festival
Students in Year 1 and Year 2 of the Bachelor in Tourism & Hospitality Management work as volunteers, assisting the organisers throughout this week-long festival in La Rochelle. Year 3 students take part in an inter-school challenge which involves tackling the major issues facing the Tourism & Hospitality sector.
3rd Language
A third modern language is compulsory for all students right from the first year of the programme. In line with the school’s core values and its commitment to inclusion, students are required to learn sign language in Year 1.
Humacité© Project
You can undertake a social, humanitarian or civic voluntary project in an NGO or an association, either in France or abroad durinh 3 months. This is one of the unique features of Excelia, which is committed to educating students to become future managers who are both responsible and conscious of the importance of their role in society.
Climacité© Project
The aim of Climacité© is to raise awareness, educate and prepare students for the challenges of protecting the environment and adapting to climate change. With a long-standing commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism, Climacité© is an opportunity for our students to make a commitment to the planet. Their projects must address one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Internships
Carrying out company-based internships, in France or abroad, is one of the compulsory parts of our Bachelor programme. By the end of your studies, you will have acquired some 8 months of real company-based experience.

Studying for a Master qualification after a Bachelor in Tourism Management
After your Bachelor in Tourism Management, you have the possibility of continuing your studies with a Master qualification, opening the door to a wide range of career opportunities. A postgraduate programme will enable you to develop your knowledge, acquire additional skills, and specialise in a specific area of tourism.
A Master programme in tourism management generally lasts for two years, divided into four semesters, and is equivalent to 5 years of higher education. To join a Master, you will need to have successfully completed at least 3 years of higher education, such as the Bachelor in Tourism Management.
The lessons may be theory-based or hands-on, with a strong emphasis on vocational experience. You can choose from a variety of specialisations to reflect your career plans.
Which Master programmes are available after a Bachelor in Tourism Management at Excelia?
There are a number of options available to graduates holding a Bachelor qualification in tourism and who would like to pursue postgraduate studies.
As Excelia’s Bachelor is State-accredited and RNCP-certified, students who wish to do so can continue their studies at Master level to validate five years of higher education.
